AUDIEN REMIXES THE ‘REVOLUTION’

Audien Nervo R3hab spinnin SPRS Ummet Ozca
Vive la révolution!

If you thought the original and vocal mix ofR3habNERVO, and Ummet Ozcan'smassive big room collab, Revolution, was something, just wait until you hear this new remix from LT3 favorite Audien.

Big, bouyant, and breathtakingly blissful, Audien's remix highlights why, deep down, we all still have a warm, soft spot in our hearts for big room house. It features fantastic synth progression and a climactic melody that you will keep replaying over and over again. Just check out that slight pause before the drop kicks in--it's bloody beautiful. Start a summer revolution, and pick it up on May 26 viaSpinnin' Records' own SPRS imprint.

PREMIERE: GALANTIS – ‘YOU REMIXES’ [BIG BEAT]

Exclusive Galantis ivan gough Tom Staar wax motif
Galantis' massive second single You was destined for a remix package from the moment its bright intro chords first fanned the flames ignited by Smile.

The duo has already treated us to the Brillz, Still Young, and Tiesto vs. Twoloud remixes, and today, LessThan3 has the exclusive premiere of the You remix EP in all its glory, featuring six big takes on Galantis' compelling "Exhibit B" track in their case for stardom.

Third up after Tiesto vs. Twoloud and Still Young comes the Tom Staar remix. Staar sets the tone in a tense, high-energy fashion before easing up off the throttle to let the initial verse shine atop a trance-y synth melody. The arpeggiated notes lead to the build and the pitched-down vocal line signaling the drop, which offers a stadium-sized take on the original.

Ivan Gough & Jebu have their shot next, which reveals itself as a bass-and-kick-heavy mix in a taste of the main section preceding a foreboding build that, once again, bows to the beauty of the verse before rocketing up into trance altitudes for a single euphoric drop.

As is the popular approach with a vocal track this enchanting, Wax Motif allows ample open space for the singsong chorus to aid in the build, which leads to a big room electro drop with a pinch of sawtooth bass.

Brillz brings us home with his space-age trap take for a bit of diversity in an otherwise big room remix EP tailor-made for the mainstage. Considering the overwhelmingly positive reception this tune has received so far, these six new mixes should add to the lifespan ofYou, for which the only concern in terms of success should be the risk of playing out.

The remix EP comes out May 26 on Big Beat Records, and you can pre-order here.

This time appearing on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records imprint, Oxia delivers Perception, a two-track release crammed full of percussive, party-rocking goodness. A perfect blend between the techier sides of house and techno, both tracks are essential for those underground-leaning jocks. Pick upPerception here.

Big Room/Electro | Nom De Strip & Wiwek - Annihilation (Original Mix) [Rising]
With names like Nom De Strip and Wiwek on a track, you know it's going to be full of heavy tribal chants and rhythms with a techy electro undertone. Annihilation, out now on Chris Lake's Rising Music, is a surefire move by both of these producers to continue to put their names on the house music map, and it should work out quite well for them. Get annihilated here.
Big Room/Electro | Sultan & Ned Shepard vs John Dish - Renegade Master (Back Once Again) [Musical Freedom]
Those who have been around the scene for awhile will recognize this familiar Renegade Master vocal, which has graced many genres and styles in the dance music world. Now with a huge update, Sultan & Ned Shepard and John Dish provide a new home for the vocal sample over a beast of a track, complete with big peaks and valleys--the perfect ingredients for a prime time bomb. Grab the track here.
Big Room/Electro | Tommy Trash - Lord Of The Trance (Original Mix) [Hysteria]
Though not definitively a trance track, Tommy Trash's Lord Of The Trance is a step in the right direction for the prolific producer. We're loving the drop in this one, which sits somewhere between tweaked-out booty bass and big room electro. Here's hoping the originality streak continues for Mr. Trash on his subsequent releases. Purchase the trackhere.

THE MAGICIAN HAS A SWIMMING POOL

mausi The Magician
If the task at hand is creating irresistible dance party tunes, The Magician is the man for the job. His latest effort is a remix of electro-pop foursome Mausi's funky tune My Friend Has A Swimming Pool, and in true Magician fashion, the Belgian producer turns the track into a full-on body mover.

The Magician, aka Stephen Fasano, keeps the original track's fun and offbeat vocals, but turns up the beat dramatically and adds some deep bass and energetic synth power. Mausi's light, easy sound is stripped from the track as Fasano gives the song a fresh deep house vibe.

No word on a release date for the remix, but the track can be found on The Magician'sMagic Tape 43, a free download.

DEADMAU5 PREMIERES ‘SEEYA’ FROM ‘WHILE(1<2 a="">

colleen d'agostino Deadmau5 Zane Lowe
With only three weeks left until the release ofdeadmau5' double-disc While(1<2 em="">, Zane Lowe gave fans their second official taste of the two-and-a-half-hour album with a premiere of Seeya.

deadmau5 calls the "little funky, upbeat thing... a bit of a departure," and fans familiar with his usual stylings of progressive and electro house would agree. The funk-ladenSeeya is an older production finished up with the vocals of Colleen D'Agostino supported by a glitchy bassline and punchy piano chords. The comparatively slow production flirts hard with nu disco and demonstrates the diversity of the double album.

The complete BBC Radio 1 interview will be available in two weeks. Stick around after the track ends for the backstory on entering the Gumball 3000, and don't forget to pre-orderWhile(1<2 em=""> here, which comes with instant downloads of Avaritia and Seeya beginning May 27.

PREMIERE: DAVIDIAN FEAT. TIFFANI JUNO – WHAT I WANT EP [KITSUNÉ]

Asdek danglo Davidian Eli & Fur Exclusive kitsune Panda
British producer David "Davidian" Whitfield makes his debut on the illustrious Kitsunélabel with the What I Want EP, and we here at LessThan3 are excited to provide the exclusive premiere of the stellar remixes that accompany the title track.

Davidian's refined house style belies his 22 years, harking back to a bygone era that was over before the DJ was even a twinkle in his mother's eyes, while still demonstrating an impressive modern skill set. Fellow Brit Tiffani Juno provides understated-yet-catchy vocal hooks that glide as smoothly as butter on top of Davidian's rubbery bassline and shimmering synth backdrop. Equally as strong as the original mix of What I Want are the remixes which come bundled with it, from Panda's piano-driven take, to Eli & Fur'sdarker rendition, as well as solid offerings from Asdek and danglo.

Davidian's What I Want EP is out now onBeatport.

WATCH: BURIAL’S ‘RIVAL DEALER’ SOUNDTRACKS SHORT FILM

burial hyperdub
The title track from Burial's last EP, Rival Dealer, is one of the most cinematic tracks this UK garage producer has ever made. Clocking in at just over 10 minutes, it feels like a veritable garage opera, with distinct sections and voiceovers to fill the role of the characters. There's an atmospheric prologue, an action-packed beginning, a conversational interlude followed by a menacing ending, and finally a beautiful epilogue that soars into the heavens with the imagined end credits.

Filmmaker Ben Dawkins picked up on the song's tone, and has created a short film inspired by it. Though not an official music video, the film was nonetheless approved by both Burial and Hyperdub, and it's easy to see why. The story follows a drug dealer through a particularly stressful night. It sounds straightforward enough, but just when you think you know where the film is going, something shocking happens. Watch below:

FESTA SEM LINE-UP
— O equipamento da Cave me basta — afirma Memê.
